Pre-Primary Programs

The Day Care (Ages 11 months - 2 years)

Early childhood is the best time for learning! During this critical period of brain development, children make connections that shape their future. Every learning moment counts, and our daycare program is designed with your child’s unique needs in mind. We follow the latest research in early childhood development to support little minds in their growth.

Children in the daycare benefit from a safe and well-supervised environment. Our trained educators engage them in various learning activities, such as:

  • Free play and role-playing
  • Familiarization with daily routines and rules
  • Potty training and development of daily self-care skills
  • Enhancing language through conversations and thematic presentations, using concrete objects and images
  • Nature walks, watering plants, and visits to the school’s small farm
  • Circle times to practice communication and listening skills
  • Routine activities such as discussing the weather, the calendar, and basic concepts of time and space
  • The daycare is a place where children start to develop the foundations of empathy, compassion, and understanding. Through these early experiences, we lay the groundwork for the development of empathy by helping children name their own feelings and recognize those in others, such as fear, joy, or excitement.

Tiny Tots & Nursery Schools (Ages 2 - 6 years)

At Two Wings International School, the integration of subjects is not just a practice but a lived experience. We approach education with the belief that it requires a conscious choice to develop an attitude of openness, inquiry, and engagement. This approach encourages teachers to reflect on their understanding of education and their relationships with students.

Program Objectives

Our program places a strong emphasis on oral language development. The language of instruction at this level is French. This dual-language approach is informed by French educational programs and the Cambridge Early Years curriculum, ensuring a smooth transition to the Cambridge Primary Program.

Key language objectives include:

  •   Free play and role-playing
  •   Familiarization with daily routines and rules
  •   Potty training and development of daily self-care skills
  •   Enhancing language through conversations and thematic   presentations, using concrete objects and images
  •   Nature walks, watering plants, and visits to the school’s small   farm
  •   Circle times to practice communication and listening skills
  •   Routine activities such as discussing the weather, the   calendar, and basic concepts of time and space

Primary School Program

Primary school is not merely a stage of education; it is the foundation for all future learning. It establishes the building blocks for each student’s personal development, leading to qualifications and continued learning throughout life. We currently offer Grade 1 – 4 and will commence enrollment for Grade 5 in the 2025/2026 school year.

At Two Wings International School, our primary goal is to equip each child with the keys to knowledge and the societal benchmarks necessary for their growth. This foundation is essential for language acquisition, which is central to our educational philosophy, and it represents the core ambition of our primary program. Our objective is to provide all children with equal opportunities for success, preparing them for seamless integration into society through multilingual education. Primary school must impart the fundamental knowledge and skills necessary for students to continue their education into middle school and beyond, within the chosen paths of their future training.

The language primary school programs define the knowledge and skills to be achieved across various teaching areas, with a clear annual progression for French and English. However, they also allow flexibility in teaching methods, showing trust in teachers to adapt the approach to meet the needs of the students. Educational freedom carries responsibility: it requires teachers to reflect on their practices and their impact, while ensuring regular monitoring and reporting of student progress. This ongoing assessment will not only serve as a means to compare the effectiveness of different teaching practices but also as a reliable tool to measure academic outcomes. It is also essential that students engage in critical thinking, interpret texts and documents, construct arguments, and apply their knowledge across all subjects. They must learn to mobilize their skills in increasingly complex situations, and be able to question, research, and reason independently. Students should be able to share the meaning of words and express themselves both orally and in writing to communicate within a broader context.

The integration into collective life requires that the school places greater emphasis on the arts, which foster common understanding and stimulate creativity and imagination. Additionally, each student should have the opportunity to thrive through daily physical education, promoting well-being and coordination. Finally, primary school must cultivate respect and tolerance—the cornerstones of human rights—through adherence to the rules of civility and politeness, which are practiced daily.
